STUFFit Student Enterprises Pty Ltd is at the forefront of providing innovative educational experiences in the events and screen industries for young individuals aged 12 to 19 on the Sunshine Coast. We are dedicated to nurturing the next generation of creative professionals by offering hands-on, practical learning environments.

STUFFit Festival Season 24Crew

  • Duration: 30 weeks (Full Season) commenced 14th February. Second Cluster intake in Term 2

  • Schedule: Every Wednesday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM during school terms

  • Age Group: 16 to 19

  • Description: This comprehensive course encompasses the entire process of planning, marketing, and delivering our 13 year-old international student film festival.
    The 24Crew, gain invaluable real-world experience in event management, including the responsibility of managing the festival's budget of $10,000. This practical application of event skills is a unique aspect of the course, also providing students the opportunity to develop ‘relational capital’ within the creative sector.

  • Qualify your experience: Through our collaboration with Learning Coach (RTO45570), students will have, if all requirements are met, the opportunity to apply for Recognition of Prior Learning on their STUFFit experience and be assessed for a Certificate III in Events (SIT30522).   • Cost: $5,000 for the full season.

STUFFit aCrew After-School

  • Duration: Weekly sessions during school term

  • Schedule: Every Wednesday, 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM

  • Age Group: 14 to 18

  • Group size: 10 students only

  • Description: Aimed at students interested in content creation, this after-school program focuses on promoting STUFFit and other amateur arts events on the Sunshine Coast. Under the guidance of industry professionals, students will develop their skills in content creation, learning through practical application throughout the year.

  • Cost: $25 per week

STUFFit on Holidays

  • Duration: Various one and two-day workshops

  • Age Group: 12 to 19

  • Description: These workshops are designed to offer students immersive, hands-on experiences in various aspects of the events and screen industries during the school holidays. Detailed information on workshop offerings will be announced closer to the dates.

The STUFFit Full Season Experience

Qualification offered by Learning Coach College (RTO 45570)
Certificate III in Events (SIT30522 - Certificate III in Events).
The course runs each Wednesday 9:00am to 5:00pm for 30 weeks during school terms.

STUFFit Student Film Festival offers a curated educational experience for students aged 16 to 19.
Students work as a team and build a suite of transferable skills and networks together.
This dynamic program is hands-on learning, running a well-established international student film festival.

2023 STUFFit Screening Event at the Black Box Theatre.

  • Learning Coach is the RTO offering the STUFFit Student Film Festival as the content for the Certificate III in Events (SIT30522).

  • STUFFit is an international film festival run by students for students. Sunshine Coast students learn how to run a live event over the 30 week season. The film festival Screening is in Nambour. Short films are submitted by students around the world.

  • Students work on every element required to run our film festival, even co-managing a $10,000 budget.

    STUFFit students will work with other events on the Sunshine Coast, giving access to a diversity of opportunities for learning and connecting to local networks.

    Industry professionals in Events, Marketing, Governance, Cybersecurity, Social Media, Accounting, Sponsorship, WHS, and others, guide students through the festival process.

  • There are several ways you can participate.

    Certificate course: Join the 24Crew for one day per week for 30 weeks during school terms in Nambour to get stuck into the bigger tasks of running the business of STUFFit festival and other opportunities.

    The ACrew meets one afternoon a week in Nambour. The ACrew will create various resources and undertake specific tasks needed to deliver the final event.

    Work experience: Arrange with your school to join STUFFit for your week or let us help you find connections in the local Screen and Events industries.

a pocket history 2011 to 2021

STUFFit Student Film Festival was founded in 2011 by Bernadette Natoli, Kathryn Kiernan-Molloy and Jasmine McCaul at St. John’s College Nambour. Over the next ten years over 170 students worked on the management team, STUFFit had received over 1600 original short films made by teenagers in over 20 countries.
